Our Story
Welcome, everyone! My name is Brittany; I'm the owner/founder of Freedom Road. Our journey began in January 2020. At first, I was making jewelry and selling it at our local farmer's markets. I was doing well, and it wasn't anything I was expecting (in a good way).
Once I got my business license, that's when it hit me, "I can buy stuff wholesale" and that excited me! I wanted to make a difference in my small hometown. We live in a rural area where there's not a lot of shopping.
Bringing great prices for good quality clothing is what I wanted to endeavor. Selling online brings so many benefits to me, and my customers. One, I don't have to pay for a storefront which means, YOU get great boutique clothing without the boutique price. It's a win, win.
Two, I get to share my testimony with the world! I used to be a nationally ranked figure skater! I skated my whole life, starting at the age of 5. Nothing I wanted more than to become an Olympic Figure Skater. I ended up giving up on that dream.
I got married at 18 years old, had a baby, and then eventually divorced. I fell into a deep depression to the point where I didn't want to be alive. I started hanging around the wrong crowd, and I fell into drug addiction.
I NEVER thought in a million years I would become an addict. Bad company corrupts good character. I met my now-husband during that dark time. We loved each other, but with addiction in the way, it just wasn't working out.
We decided we wanted to change our lives. We enrolled ourselves in a year-long rehab. I went to "Ruth's House of Hope" he went to "Timothy's House." We were able to see each other, but we laid our relationship down for a year and let God heal our brokenness.
We graduated from the programs and got married three months later, and had a baby together. God has healed so much, including my relationship with my oldest son. This coming March (2023) will mark our 5 years clean and sober.
Now, we want to give back to the program that helped us in our darkest time. We believe everyone deserves a second chance! That's why 10% of every sale will go to "Ruth's House of Hope" and "Timothy's House." It will go towards helping men and women like us, people that have the heart to change their lives.
We want to make that possible by contributing 10% of our sales. Most of all, we want to show people that FREEDOM is possible, being set free from drugs and alcohol is possible! Because with God, "ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE."
